Recently, my particular focus has been on painting scenes of Neolithic Stones; some of real sites, and some fictional scenes with a cartoonish twist.

My love of rocks and pre-history began as a dinosaur obsessed child hunting beaches for fossils, but it’s only in the last couple of years that it’s bled into my artworks. I have grand future plans to embark on a UK wide road trip to paint and draw as many of these Neolithic sites as possible. I find myself deeply intrigued, and consistently astonished by their ancient beauty. The only way I know how to process the love I have for these places, is by making art of, about, and for them.

Further to my pre-historic works, I also have a great love of artwork comprising of repeating designs and shapes. These so called ‘doodle’ works were a staple of my secondary school homework diaries, and now I’ve created an intentional set of 6 artworks in different repeating designs. The peace and monotony of working through these A4 designs was enrapturing, if slightly dampened by the pain they brought on in my hand.
